Review | Naat Brazilian Keratin Line

December 3, 2015

A lovely lady from NuNaat reached out to me in October, asking if i am interested in reviewing some hair products from their collection. I  was quite excited, as this was my first sponsored contact. She provided me with several collections to choose from and i opted for the Naat Brazilian Keratin line.

I was very impressed with the speed of shipment, as i received the products within a week of contact though the product was shipped from US. I was also impressed by the size, as all 5 products sent were full sized. I have been using the product line for over 5 weeks, and below is my review of the line.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Deep Moisturizing Shampoo

Naat Brazilian Keratin Shampoo

This is one of the top shampoos that i have used. Though it contains sulfates, it is quite moisturizing and it does a great job clarifying my scalp. On the first use, my hair felt a little hard, which was expected as it is a sulfate shampoo and its base ingredient is keratin. It has a nice consistency with a light scent which is a plus.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Deep Moisturizing Conditioner

Naat Brazilian Keratin Hair ConditionerI like the conditioner because it does a great job of moisturizing my hair, which eases detangling. When i first tried the line, i was over 18 weeks post relaxer and was concerned that the conditioner may not provide enough ‘slip’ but it put my worry to rest, so i am quite glad. The consistency is a bit thinner than the hair mask (see below) and it is very moisturizing.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Intensive Hair Mask

Naat Brazilian Keratin Hair Mask

Naat Brazilian Keratin Hair Mask 2The mask is my favourite product from the line as it does a fantastic job restoring moisture to dry hair. On first use, i diligently followed the instructions and left it in my hair for 20 mins, but i didn’t get the desired result. My hair was softer, but was not comparable to my ususal deep conditioning mix. So the next week after a relaxer touch up, i added honey and olive oil and left it in my hair for an hour. The result was just wow! my hair has never felt so soft and i was very satisfied with the result.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Liquid Keratin Leave-In Reconstructor

Naat Brazilian Keratin Leave-in

When i unpacked the box, i was taken aback by the size of the leave-in as i was expecting a much smaller volume. I apply the leave-in after squeezing out excess water from my hair. I part my hair into 4 and apply it to each section. I ensure to coat my end, as they tend to dry out quickly. The leave-in does a great job of prepping my hair for heat styling.

NAAT Brazilian Keratin Serum Ultra Shine

Naat Brazilian Keratin Serum

The serum is my 2nd favourite product from the line, as it provides a nice protection from heat usage. Don’t let the small bottle fool you, a little goes a long way with this product, so just apply a little.  After leaving the leave-in to sit in my hair for 10 mins, i apply the serum to each section.  I note the difference instantly and my hair feels smoother with a nice sheen. Another thing to note is that it doesn’t weigh down my hair down.

The first time i used the serum, i did not use heat because it was late and i was quite tired. Instead, i added jojoba oil to seal the serum and flat twisted into 2 jumbo twists and went to bed. Below was the result the next morning when i unravelled the twists, i was very impressed as the serum prevented frizz and kept the style intact all day.

Final Note

Overall, i am very impressed with the product line. It does a wonderful job in keeping my hair moisturized and preventing frizz, particularly when i was over 18 weeks post relaxer. The line is also formaldehyde and sodium chloride (salt) free, which is a plus; the less chemicals, the better! I recommend the line to individuals with relaxed/colour-treated hair with preference for heat styles, as the serum provides a good protection against heat damage. Thanks NuNaat for the products, much appreciated!
