I set and achieve yearly goals by breaking them down into monthly and weekly plans. Below are my 5 hair goals for 2015.
1. Maintain Current Regimen
I have gone through 2 cycles of my hair regimen and it has shown tremendous result. I will stick to the regimen for 2015 to ensure that the results are not by chance. I also plan to only relax 3 times (April, August, December).
2. More Heatless Styles
I plan to do more heatless styles to increase my relaxer stretch and reduce manipulation. My goal is to improve my flat twist, as my hair responds really well to it. I will be using gels and curl defining pudding for better definition.
3. Blow dry only
I will be ditching the flat iron, as i tend to retain more moisture with just a blow dryer. I also get the flat iron look the following day, if i do the ‘chase method’ and protect my hair with a silk scarf. I will reserve flat iron for salon visits.
4. Continue with Carrot Juice
I have been drinking a glass of the Bolthouse Farm carrot juice daily, since January 2014 and i have noted tremendous result in my hair! It is thicker, stronger, and less prone to breakage. Though carrot juice is hailed as a growth aid, i didn’t notice any different in my growth rate. I will continue drinking carrot juice to maintain thickness and overall health of my hair.
5. Cut off all over-processed ends by December 2015
Below is a picture taken on January 13. I blow dried, then flat ironed. The over-processed ends are clearly visible and i am not impressed! I plan to be rid of them by December. I wouldn’t be missing them, as they tend to dry out very quickly.
